Information about me

I create my work in 2D and 3D graphics in various programs, depending on project scope. For the purpose of three-dimensional graphics I use mostly ”3D Studio Max” because with this package I am most familiar. In my free time I try to experiment with ”Maya” and ”XSI” in order to grasp the differences between these packages. In my workflow I also use ”Zbrush” and ”Photoshop” for generating normal maps and texturing. Depending on the project I use ”After Effects” for final video composition. In general I am fascinated with 3D graphics. On the one hand I try to learn as much as possible about making three-dimensional models, topology and animation on the other hand I try to learn secrets of programming real time applications, and everything what is ”under the hood”, such as algorithms used to make specific effect. This is a very arduous process, but I am full of energy and enthusiasm to work :). In the middle is, of course, two dimensional graphic, without which nothing can be done.

Due to my academic background I have basic knowledge of programming and algorithms. In the past I have written several computer programs, that are cross-platform, using ”Qt”, ”OpenGL” and ”C++”. They are made for academic purpose rather than for production environment thus quality is adequate. I am also interested in various technologies not connected with graphics such as telecommunication, wifi, linux and so on...

I try to focus on general techniques and technologies, rather than on programs that use it. In my opinion the key to success is to understand what you can do with technology and then implement or use it in programs.
